A Fun "Turkey" Craft!

I have mentioned before that I love crafts, so there was no doubt that I when I ran across this post, Gobble Gobble..., on my dear cousin-in-love's blog, I was going to have to make this cute "Turkey" shirt for Cohen. Even Daddy joined in the fun and took care of sewing the button on. So go check out the post for her instructions and you will have fun chasing your little turkey around the house sporting this shirt this year!!!

What a week!

As I started this post, I actually had typed five long paragraphs. Paragraphs that were nothing but details complaining of how things have been lately. Then I decided to delete it all. I mean, it has been ruff. We are still dealing with the stress of which day will be Charlie's last day at work. The battery had to be replaced in my car last week and now it is in the shop while the service guys are trying to figure out this noise that no one is sure what it is or where it is coming from. And to add to this, since this past weekend, I have been feeling bad, experiencing some cramping and lower back pain. I was glad that when I went in to get my H1N1 shot today, I mentioned it because I would find out that it is the start of a bladder infection and that I was dehydrated. So hopefully with a prescription and plenty of cranberry juice and water, we have caught it before it got any worse and help this major discomfort that I am experiencing....

So we all have ruff times, right?... And though I cant help myself wonder if I will get through it or wonder what is going to pop up next, I remind myself that I am so blessed. Blessed beyond words and I will in fact survive whatever comes my way.
I will leave you with some weekend pictures of the TWO BEST BLESSINGS GOD HAS GIVEN ME!!!!

Top Reasons I love this Belly!

As I reached my 32 week mark and wishing for the day to hold my baby girl would get here, I thought about what would be my favorite reasons of being pregnant. I am so thankful that God has allowed me to become a mother not just once, but now twice. However, I would be lying if I said I enjoyed being pregnant. I have truly been blessed to not have had any major issues with either pregnancy but just feeling uncomfortable and breathless 24/7 is driving me crazy. So while I wait for that unexpected day Cayden makes her appearance , I will hang on. Enjoy what time I do have left of this very active little girl, who apparently has found the ribs, inside this belly....

The Room Awaits a Baby Girl!

I am pleased to say that with approximately 7 weeks (hopefully) before Cayden's arrival, the nursery is completed, with the exception of a few accessories that I need to add. After a number of opinions, plenty of changes, few holes to patch, I am very happy with the way it turned out!!!

I started planning the nursery with no theme in mind but after a making a few choices, it was leading its way toward a Garden theme. From the wood flowers that Charlie cut and I painted to the tree mural that was really fun to do adding a bird house as a special touch. Not too mention the butterfly rocker, vintage floor lamp post and ladybug metal art.

The bedding turned out absolutely adorable and just the way I wanted it to look. I am so glad that I went with picking out fabric that I love and having it made. I will ever be so grateful to my dear friend Lynn!!!

NOW ALL WE NEED IS OUR BABY GIRL!!!!

Prayers Needed.....

A little over a year ago, we were praying for a door to open up for a new job for Charlie. That door did open and would become a huge blessing. It allowed Charlie to have benefits, work set hours, home in the evenings and every weekend. This year, we often wondered what the future held for his position due to the terrible slow down in the economy. Well, this past week, their branch would receive some bad news. The company let go of the branch supervisor and truck driver which left the office manager, my sister-in-love and Charlie. Though I am very thankful that Charlie was not let go this time, it still has been a very stressful and depressing week. It is so hard to not worry and I wonder every day that he goes in, will that be the day? But I do believe God is in control and though we may have to go through a storm, that storm just might be part of his plan.
It does not look good at all, so please keep us and my sister-in-love in your prayers during this stressful time and what could become more stressful if they lost their job. If this door has to close, I pray that one opens up quickly.

Run Uncle Clint Run!

On Halloween morning, Charlie and Cohen went to support Uncle Clint in a 1/2 marathon. After running 13.1 miles, Uncle Clint finished 26th out of 1300 and 2nd in his age group.

WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU UNCLE CLINT!!!
